Terms & Conditions of Rental

Authorized Drivers

Only drivers whose names appear on the rental contract are covered by insurance. Any unauthorized driver voids coverage entirely.

Drinking & Driving

Insurance is fully void in the event of drinking and driving. All costs arising from any incident under these circumstances are borne entirely by the renter.

Fuel Policy

• The renter is responsible for using the appropriate fuel type.
• The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level as at delivery.
• There is no refund for unused or extra fuel.

Payments

Payment can be made:

• On the spot in Cash (Euros or Mauritius Rupees)
• By Credit Card

Payments in Mauritius Rupees are calculated based on the prevailing exchange rate or predefined rates on the proposed quote.

Refund Policy

Once a rental has commenced and a contract has been engaged:

• Unused days will not be refunded.
• Vehicle swaps may be authorized solely at the discretion of White Shell Tours Ltd, subject to availability.

In Case of Accident

• White Shell Tours Ltd must be immediately notified.
• The vehicle must not be used again without the company's approval.
• Where responsibility is difficult to establish, WST reserves the right to retain the full deposit (residents) or invoice the renter directly (tourists), with any applicable refund issued at a later stage.

Vehicle Condition & Mechanical Issues

• All vehicles are rented in good condition.
• If a mechanical problem or dashboard warning appears during the rental, the renter must stop immediately and notify WST.
• The renter has no right to repair, replace parts, or modify the vehicle without prior written permission from WST.

Traffic & Parking Violations

The renter is fully liable for all parking fines and traffic contraventions incurred during the rental period.

Cancellation Policy

• More than 48 hours before pickup → Free cancellation, full refund
• Within 48 hours of pickup → 50% refund
• No-show → No refund

Cancellations must be communicated directly to White Shell Tours Ltd via WhatsApp or email. Cancellations are only considered valid once acknowledged by WST.

By proceeding with a booking, the renter acknowledges having read, understood, and agreed to all the above terms and conditions.
